On the way to munich. . .

Cows in the mist.

Big pilgrim site for the German speaking world: the black madonna. The chapel also contained the hearts of all the Bavarian kings and elected... encased in small silver hearts hanging on all the walls. gross!  Outside, the walls were covered in pictures and crutches of those cured by the madonna. . .

Salzburg

The Mirabelgarden (the do-ray-me sound of music song location) had the most insane slide. . . My e-brake gave out and I went flying off the bottom. I was the entertainment of the playground!

Iram trying to get the puppet to move.

Views from the hohensalzburg castle.

The salzburg speciality: the salzburg nockerl. I pointed this dish out to donna and iram as we passed people eating it. The people (germans) heard us talking about it and offered us to try some of theirs. Naturally we were hesitant. . . but they insisted. . .
